CLASS B DRIVING LICENSE WITH KEY 196
CAR DRIVING LICENSE
REQUIREMENTS:
The class B driving license can be issued with the code number 196 if: The holder has had a German driving license or class B for the last 5 years (or more) without interruption. The possession of a driving license from an EU or EEA country can be taken into account. The test is carried out by the driving license authority. the applicant has reached the minimum age of 25 at the time of issue. Evidence (according to Annex 7b FeV) of successful participation in a "driving training" of at least nine teaching units (TU) of 90 minutes each (theory at least four and practice at least five TU) is available. there is a maximum of one year between driving training and registration. Holders of a class B 196 driving license are entitled to class B vehicles as well as motorcycles (with sidecars) of class A1 (displacement 125 cm3, an engine power of no more than 11 kW, with a power-to-weight ratio of 0.1 kW / kg does not exceed). The training prescribed for class A1 does not have to be completed in full. A theoretical and practical test does not have to be taken. The entry only authorizes driving within the Federal Republic of Germany. Entering this key number does not result in an A1 driving license being acquired! An extension to class A2 according to Section 15 (3) FeV is not possible.
DRIVER TRAINING
The prerequisite for the issue of the driving license with the code number 196 is successful participation in a driver training course of at least nine hours in a driving school.
After completing the driver training, the driving school must issue the participant with a certificate of successful participation in accordance with Annex 7b FeV.
APPLICATION
The key number 196 is entered upon presentation of proof of identity, proof of successful participation in a "driving training" and a current biometric photo.
The fee is EUR 24.00.
